Not familiar with a digital garden? That's fine, you just stumbled into one. A Digital Garden is the place a person stores their thoughts in the form of writings that often show growth and evolution. Think of it like a blog that seems less organized, but is more intentional. It's purpose driven in a different way from a blog. When I start blogs, I do so to grow the blog. I started this digital garden to grow myself. ### So Who Am I? ![[14FABADA-1568-43C9-BAF4-EAA6D9F754C9.jpeg]] I'm Ryan. I'm a father, a husband, a web developer, a gamer, and a pretty big Star Wars nerd. These are just a few pieces of my identity, the ones that I picked out of a jar and showed you. You'll pick up on others as you walk through The Garden. ### The Garden Speaking of The Garden, that's what this space will be referred to from here on out. I want this place to feel as tangible as a real garden, and be as valuable to me as one. I hope you can find value and beauty in it too. ### Guiding You Through The Garden may seem disorganized at first, but many of the best gardens in the world do. However, as you walk through them, you find the plants teeming with fruit and flowers, and realize that seeing the garden for the plants is the best way through. There are no folders in The Garden. Notes are tagged, making it easy for me to find them with the Obsidian search functionality. There is also the interactive graph, which shows the links between articles, making it easy to follow along a certain path. Beyond that, The Garden is better enjoyed by the wanderer. ### A Note About Old Blog Posts The Garden is not a blog, and I don't intend to treat it like one. This is my place on the web. Blogs are about growth of the audience, The Garden is about my own personal growth. If you are looking for any of my old writings, [my personal site](https://ryanboddy.net) is this up. ### The Latest Seeds Here is what I just planted in The Garden: [[Vegetable Garden Journal]] [[I Regret Waiting This Long to Play Elden Ring]] [[My Entire Process of Learning Go]]
